OK, Google. Take a note

OK Google – take a note of this. Bing is never going to be good for IT professionals until Microsoft change the search results.

In my opinion, each time I use Bing to search for something like a hardware driver for a laptop or desktop PC, the top few results are always the dodgy websites that encourage you to download and install software to scan your system for drivers – this is screaming out to me that it’s a trojan or zombie.

I have had colleagues also tell me that they get similar results when searching for software tools and utilities – the top results are dicey or a little dubious. I am so pleased that Google does not prioritise all search results simply on the fact that they are paid sponsors. Just my little rant for the day after I helped a friend with their eBay Chinese laptop…
