Open any file in Notepad

Would you like an easy way to open text files in Notepad without having to associate 100s of file extensions?Are you always working with text files that do not have .TXT extension, but you want a simple way to just edit them? Open for editing .XML files, .PROPERTIES and .CONF simply, without changing their association by following these simple steps;

1. In Windows Explorer, in the address bar, type Sendto
   1. Alternatively, open the Run box (Win + R)
   2. Type in %APPDATA% – this will open your user profile\Roaming
   3. Navigate to the folders \Microsoft and then \Windows
2. Right click in an empty space, select New and create a Shortcut
   
   
3. Simply type in Notepad (you don’t need to browse or enter .exe)
4. Click Next, then simply press Finish

By creating a shortcut in the SendTo folder it will now appear in the Right-Click menu (context menu) in the Send To sub item.
